A specialist on organized crime and political corruption investigations since 1974, best-selling author and independent investigative journalist Dan E. Moldea has published eight nonfiction books: The Hoffa Wars (1978); The Hunting of Cain: A True Story of Money, Greed, and Fratricide (1983); Dark Victory: Ronald Reagan, MCA, and the Mob (1986); Interference: How Organized Crime Influences Professional Football (1989); The Killing of Robert F. THE MYSTERIES OF VINCE FOSTER'S DEATH

After a decades-long career in journalism Dan Moldea remains one of the most outstanding true crime investigative reporters in the United States. Moldea has been beaten up by thugs, trashed in the press, taken on the Mafia and the Teamsters, and threatened with prosecution. His resume is proof enough that he has the background to tackle controversial subjects without fear or favour.
In the late 90s he accomplished what no other reporter had done – he debunked all of the hysterical - and for the most part, political - accusations levelled at the Clinton White House that a Clinton aide, Vince Foster, had been murdered to secure his silence about high crimes and low skulduggery at the Executive Mansion. Moldea interviewed Park Police, White House staff and investigating police officers at a level that no other journalist at the time had accomplished.
It was only after Moldea had investigated all the evidence and interviewed all of the participants in the tragedy did the investigative crime reporter allow himself to come to his conclusions. Utilizing his trained eye for detail Moldea sorted the true facts from the fictions which any sensational death inevitably creates. Moldea also challenged the conclusions of other sensational books and articles which he discovered were built on nothing more than mistakes in the collection of evidence, rumour, gossip and innuendo.
Moldea addressed all the questions that were raised – What was Foster hiding? Did he leave a suicide note? What was the relationship between Foster and First Lady Hillary Clinton? Was the White House covering up? What was the real motive behind Foster's death?
The result? – whilst President Clinton could be rightly accused of everything from disgracing the office of the presidency to cheating on his wife he was no murderer. Foster, a friend of the Clintons who had joined the White House staff at the beginning of Bill Clinton’s first term, had found himself in at the deep end. A sensitive soul, Foster, could not stand the backbiting, fighting and the belligerent press criticism that is known as Washington politics. Additionally, he was also enmeshed in the Clinton ‘Travelgate’ affair which smacked of corruption.
However, Moldea believes the “triggering event” for Foster’s suicide “occurred within his private life, not his public career,” namely, Foster’s “unhappiness with the state of their marriage since his move to Washington.” Seriously depressed, he decided to end his life and chose Fort Marcy Park, Virginia, across the river from the White House to end it all. He fired a bullet into his mouth that exited the upper rear of his head. The 1913 Army Colt .38 Special revolver was found in his hand.

I think reading got a little deep with names and details. Guess I Am just tired of the same old carp Clinton's get away with. If Vincent foster was such a good friend no one really stood up for him in the end.
