Starting with examples in India, and extending to a global scope, Vikram has condensed a vast problem into a readable and digestible format for the layman. Some novel and exciting solutions are proposed. Sadly, as the book describes, money, politics and development remain serious obstacles to an improved environment. We must hope that enlightening texts such as this will move humanity to a greater understanding, and hence a will to resist continued destruction of our planet.

Let us conserve what Nature has bestowed on us

It is an excellent primer on how biodiversity sustains life on the planet, how the natural production systems are self dependent, as the waste from one production system provides the feed for the others, unlike the post-industrial revolution production systems that deplete the natural resources on the one hand and generate toxic, non-recyclable wastes on the other. Vikram Soni is passionate environmental activist himself, with hands on experience in campaigning for conserving the natural resources. "Naturally" provides a range of real life examples that prove Soni's point that, unless we tread softly on the planet, the life on it may not last long. I strongly recommend the book to all those who wish to understand the dynamics of life on the earth, its complexities and its aesthetic beauty.
